I saw a guy at the gym today… who had only one leg, the other amputated… but he was lifting the heavy stuff like no other. If this isn’t motivation, I don’t know what is.. your excuses are invalid.

My english teacher assigned our next research project: an argument about whatever we want in 1500 or less words. This restraint is worrisome to me… I tend to write elaborately and go over limits frequently. 

I am arguing the potential dangers of the dependence on corn and soy on our nation. I am very excited to research this, and there are So Many resources… i have a feeling this will come out well. 

-Work out every day with full effort, remembering that I need to give everything I have to every moment working out

-PR at the friday trackmeet. I will attempt 10ft in the pole vault, and try to get under 13s for the 100m.

-Eat clean. Self control especially. Don’t eat what I dont need.

I love trackmeets. They are where all of my training and preparation is represented. Yesterday was my first official trackmeet of the 2012 high school season. Unfortunately, it didn’t go all as planned. First, all field events were canceled, and field events are my primary events. Then, they had to delay for weather, and finally they called off the entire meet because of the weather, with only three events left. Most of the teams seemed pretty discouraged the entire day, and I am sure there were not many personal records at the meet; the weather simply didn’t allow for that.

This week’s performance: 100m 13.67s (about .5s slower than usual)

   200m-canceled

   Pole Vault- canceled

   Triple Jump- canceled

In a way, I am kind of glad that field events were canceled. I still feel that there is more work that I can do to prepare. I still need to make some adjustments, and those will take place this week.

My next meet is friday… time to prepare :)
